Rob MacKay
Rob MacKay has been in the journalism field for about 10 years. He currently
edits three legal publications that inform on civil court cases for
ALM: An Integrated Media Company. Before that,
he was an award-winning reporter, editor and photographer for a community
newspaper in New York City.
In earlier times, Rob taught English as a second language, lived
in Honduras as a Peace Corps volunteer and worked for a nonprofit
that defends the
workplace rights of Spanish-speaking immigrants. He speaks fluent Spanish.
Rob is particularly excited to participate in Leadership 21 activities
because mental health issues have affected both sides of his family.
He also believes strongly in the entity’s mission and wishes that he
had known about it sooner.
Married with two young daughters, Rob lives in Queens, NY, where
spends his scant free time placating his soccer obsession.
