Restraint and Seclusion

Restraint and seclusion have too often been used punitively or to subdue an individual for the convenience of ward staff. The Bazelon Center has been instrumental in advancing rules to reduce the use of restraint and seclusion techniques and to ensure staff accountability when such tactics are employed
