Lee
Carty is the Bazelon Center’s
Director of Publications. Carty has been on the staff of the Bazelon
Center since 1974 and
originally served as its Director of Development and Public Information.
She directs the Center's
communications activities, including the editing and design of
all Center publications, development and implementation of marketing
strategies, media relations and the website. Carty serves as
Secretary of
the Board of Trustees. Beyond her work with the Bazelon Center,
she is a founding member of the
board
of the Community Council for the
Homeless
at Friendship Place, a nonprofit providing outreach, case management
and housing for homeless men and women with the assistance of
neighbors
