Leadership 21 > Greg Dicharry

Greg has served as Development Manager for Magellan Health Services of Arizona since 2007.  He provides technical assistance, training, consultation and program development expertise related to transition to adulthood, youth involvement, co-occurring disorders and peer delivered services within Magellan and its network of providers. Greg also created and coordinates the youth leadership group MY LIFE (Magellan Youth Leaders Inspiring Future Empowerment), which presents workshops and presentations locally and national focused on youth involvement and leadership related to mental health, substance abuse, foster care and juvenile justice issues.

In addition, Greg is in recovery for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, and is a member of the Governor’s Co-Occurring Policy Advisory Team (CPAT). As a volunteer in 2007 he started a 12 step Co-occurring disorders recovery group at the Arizona State Mental Hospital Forensic Unit, which he has co-facilitated for over two years. He was also instrumental in starting weekly young peoples’ 12 step meetings at the Durango  and SEF Juvenile Detention centers, which he also co-facilitates as a volunteer. Greg holds a BA in Communication from Arizona State University and received his Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) certification in 2005.
