Policy & Research Internships

The Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law is the leading national legal-advocacy organization representing people with mental disabilities. In addition to its precedent-setting litigation, the Center pursues lobbying and research in the public-policy arena to define and advance the rights of adults and children who rely on public services and ensure their equal access to health and mental health care, education, housing and employment. 

Job Description: The work will be in the area of health policy research. This is not a legal research position. Policy interns conduct background research and literature searches for fact sheets and policy papers on issues affecting adults and children with mental disabilities. Strong analytical, research and computer skills, including the ability to effectively use the internet, are required. The ideal candidate thrives on independence. 

Interns will be paid $12 an hour.
